Imazethapyr 10% SL is a selective, systemic herbicide of the imidazolinone class, widely used in soybean, groundnut, and pulses to control narrow and broadleaf weeds. As a liquid formulation (SL) applied post-emergence (15-25 days after sowing), it works by inhibiting the ALS enzyme, halting weed growth.

• Target Crops: Soybean, Groundnut, Black Gram, Green Gram, and Red Gram.
• Target Weeds: Controls various annual grasses and broadleaf weeds, including Echinochloa spp., Commelina benghalensis, and Euphorbia hirta.
• Dosage & Application: Typically 400 ml to 1 L per acre (or ~1 Litre per hectare) depending on the specific label, applied as an early post-emergence spray when weeds are in the 2-4 leaf stage.
• Key Features: Residual activity offers longer-lasting control, and it is generally safe for subsequent crops.
