About Cyhalofop Butyl 10 % EC

Cyhalofop-butyl 10% EC is a selective, post-emergence systemic herbicide used primarily in rice crops to control grasses, particularly barnyard grass (Echinochloa spp.). It acts as an ACCase inhibitor, stopping fatty acid synthesis in weeds. It is applied early (2-4 leaf stage) and is safe for rice.

Target Weeds: Excellent control of annual grassy weeds, specifically Echinochloa crus-galli (Common Barnyard Grass), Echinochloa colona (Jungle Rice), Echinochloa oryzoides, and Echinochloa phyllopogon.
Mode of Action: Systemic action; absorbed by leaves and transported to meristematic tissues, causing death within 1-3 weeks.
Crop Use: Primarily used in Transplanted and Direct Seeded Rice (DSR).
Application Timing: Post-emergence, when grassy weeds are in the 2-4 leaf stage.
